“ Good old fashioned western food is what you will find at Retro Cafe which is located on the first floor above a 7-11. The deco is so homely with checkerd tablecloths and pictures of Bob Marley and various other retro musicians on the wall with framed records, The food is simple and taste home made. i usually have the chicken chop or chicken scnitzel which will really warm you up and comfort you all the way. Also give their mushroom soup a go as this is filled with tiny bits of mushroom. ”
“ I brought my parents here for "western" dinner last weekend for a change as we always had Chinese cuisines. I got to know about this place through a friend which recommended me to try this Fish n Chips (I am a die hard fan of Fish n Chips). So without much thoughts, we visited this place for dinner. This place is located on the second floor of the shop lot. As you walk in the restaurant, it really makes you feel that you've travelled back in time to the 70's era? (My parents days). It could probably due to their amber lightings, vintage decorations of old vinyl records and so on. All of us ordered western menu, although they too serve local cuisines as well, and as usual I ordered their Fish n Chips. I would say their food quality is generally alright not too awesome but I would say is that it's the total package of the entire restaurant that gives me an unique experience (Kind of nostalgic). I really don't mind visiting this place again for lunch or dinner (Ya, they cater for lunch and dinner sessions). If you're in the mood for some "retro" feel, this is definitely the place for you to visit! ”
“ Get to know about this restaurant through a friend of mine. I was told that their western food was quite good. Hence my other half and I decided to drop by for lunch. This cafe was quite special, as their name mentioned, they are very Retro! The whole shop was decorated in retro style. There's old vinyl records, pictures of celebrities from the 70s displayed on the walls of the shop. There's also a cabinet full of old iron (those really old iron where you need to put burning charcoal in before you can use them to iron some clothes). The moment you step into the shop, it feels as though you're back to 70s. Even the music played are from that era. Retro Kitchen was cozy and comfortable to dine in. We both ordered their lunch set. I had the mushroom aglio olio with grass jelly while my other half have their chicken schnitzel with jasmine green tea. Their lunch set comes with a drink and there's 3 type to choose from (jasmine green tea/grass jelly/lemon barley). I find that their food was decent and reasonably priced. For people working nearby, this a great place for lunch. Pssst.. They also serve alcohol. Nice place for after work happy hour too. Oh! Not to forget, they have some imported sodas like root beers too! ”
